Review content:
I walked in with a family heirloom Rolex watch that was recently appraised above $5000. The fat smelly guy that works there told me right off the bat without looking very closely that it was a fake. I bet him $500 that it was real and he said 'show me the money'. I threw down $300, all I had in my pocket. He matched it but then insisted on holding the money and the watch. He then pulled out a pocket knife (a standard tool of a professional tweeker) and proceeded to try and pop off the back of the watch which is screwed on. I told him repeatedly to not do that. He realized his blundering mistake and said we can take it across the street to a jeweler, one that I had already been to, to have the back taken off. He stomped off with the money and the watch, not believing me that I had already been told by that jeweler that he didn't have the proper tool to do the job. After being called a slew off derogatory names (a-hole, punk, dick, jerk, etc), we walk in to the jewelry shop, he shows the guy there the watch, the guy looks at me then back at the pawn guy and said that he'd already told me he couldn't do it. Pawn guy then shoves the watch and money back in my hand and in a nasty tone said to come back when I had the back off of the watch. I said 'so who's the punk now?' since he was not honoring the bet he had lost. He turn around and started coming at me, threatening to beat me up. I had to run down the street and duck into another store just to be safe. What a great businessman, huh? This place is a rip-off and that guy is nothing but a shark. I would suggest nobody take their valuables to this place. There are plenty of other reputable pawn shops in town. This fat shark will be counting hot coins in hell for eternity.
