MedAccess made our home more accessible to me as I use my wheelchair.\r
Our home was built and finished in November of 2005. We did have it built to ADA specifications; we were planning for the future and the special needs of elderly living. However, when I became an amputee a year later, we discovered that ADA specifications were incredibly insufficient. My wheelchair barely squeezes through thirty-six inch doors, and common thresholds present barriers for me. It is difficult to turn around in hallways and foyers. A small lip from my driveway into the garage was insurmountable via my wheelchair and I needed a ramp to enter my house up a four inch step in my garage. MEDAccess presented various solutions to these and other accessibility issues in our home.\r

I am grateful their expertise in helping us make our home more handicapped accessible. The aluminum ramp and mat installed in my garage now enables me to enjoy the freedom of going outdoors and entering my home with ease. Their invaluable knowledge and personal experience with handicapped issues really made a difference and their prompt and friendly service was greatly appreciated. \r

The world is not handicapped friendly. There are constant challenges and frustrations for those of us who are handicapped. The MEDAccess slogan: ""Making Life Easier"" is indeed appropriate.
