Review content:
While traveling from NY to SC, we stopped to dine at The Blackwater Cafe in Moneta, VA for what turned out to be a dining experience of unbelievable caliber! The restaurant reflects the intense focus on detail that extends to cuisine, presentation, mood, and surroundings. The warm atmosphere, creative use of colors and lighting, was most welcoming, even before we ordered. The staff moved with confident, uncalculated ease, and they were all efficient and friendly. Now for the food-it was difficult deciding among the diverse menu items. All the seafood was fresh, the beef was certified Angus, and the pasta at the next table was most tempting. The exquisite food was the best ever, and nearly outdone by the creative presentation. The wine list was excellent. The appetizers were mouth-watering and we ordered entrees of Tasmanian salmon and ahi tuna that was better than any NY city restaurant, and we dine often in NY! Their desserts were fabulous and, again, presented with unbelievable flair. There was nothing ordinary about our meal. The owners and chef were witty and charming and their visits to our table were most enjoyable! We cant wait to travel back again to try more of their entrees and to take pleasure in the experience!\r
