Review content:
One of my favorite restaurants--great menu, friendly staff, fantastic views of beautiful and quaint Elkhart Lake. The chef changes the menu with the availability of local produce, meat, and seafood. Everything is homemade, including the tarter sauce and ketchup served with the Friday fish fries. Eat outdoors on the ""back porch"" in summer when you'll want a reservation. Some nights can be very busy when the Victorian Village has its summer music shows or when Road America has races. Winter months are quieter and the pace is much more relaxed. You can enjoy one of the infused liquor drinks in front of the fireplace. I eat out at many fine restaurants in Milwaukee, but I always enjoy my meals when in Elkhart Lake at the Back Porch Bistro.
Pros: Ambience, Diverse and ""fresh"" menu
Cons: Busy during race weekends in the summer
