Theorhetically speaking only......If I had a tortoise that had a fishing line down its throat with a hook at some level in the body, I would allow the veterinarian to take an x-ray so they could discuss the risk, cost, and benefits to doing something or nothing. I would theorhetically feel more guilty of watching your pet slowly die by not offering x-rays than doing my job as a patient advocate and offering a service. Todd Driggers DVM
