I took in 25 great condition, hard cover books to sell to the Tacoma store and after an hour of waiting for them to come up with an offer, was offered just $21. Less than $1 per book. These weren't obscure books either. Authors like Stephen King, Vince Flynn, WEB Griffin, and Lee Child and titles like I Am Number 4 and George Bush's autobiography. Don't expect to get much if you try to sell them your books. I will donate mine to the local library before I give them to Half Priced Books. I gave them 25 and left with 3 from their store. Never again.
