Review content:
The organization is terrible! Different members of my family had already started calling around. El Paso Mission had somehow managed to give the four of us different prices. On top of that, payment can only be done with cash. That should send up red flags with anyone used to dealing with legitimate businesses.
We were told it would take about 10 days to receive our ashes back. The crematorium is about a 25 min drive from the funeral home. Going on three weeks I decided to call them. By sheer ""coincidence"", that was the day the ashes had ""arrived."" It should also be noted that I had missed a phone call one week prior from them, but no message was left. I was unfamiliar with the number and tried returning the call the next day, but nobody answered. When I contacted them later to check the status of the ashes, that's when I noticed I was dialing the number that left no message/didn't answer. I highly suspect that I could have retrieved my family member earlier. When I arrived, the death certificates were a jumbled mess. Were it not for the paperwork included from the crematorium, I honestly would not have believed that those were even the correct ashes I had picked up.
It wasn't professional at all, from start to finish. To concur with the previous review, the deceased deserved better. To think that we were waiting for our beloved to come home while they were sitting on a shelf at El Paso Mission Funeral Home. They'd probably still be there had I not checked in.
