Review content:
Greenville, Texas is the headquarters for Motel 6.\r
It is their policy to have guests sign a card saying they are not responsible for personal belongings.\r
We reserved a room with 2 beds for 2 nights on the online system.\r
We received an emailed confirmation.\r
We signed in and paid for 2 nights.\r
On returning to our room the 2nd night we discovered our key cards did not work.\r
The clerk said she made an error.\r
They were sold out of 2 bed rooms.\r
It was 11 pm, I am 63 and a diabetic and was tired.\r
We waited outside until 1 am for her to locate our belongings.\r
I understand an error.\r
I accepted loosing our room.\r
I wanted our belongings which she promised to ship prepaid.\r
She also promised to call me if they could not be located.\r
I waited exactly 1 week and contacted the same clerk by phone.\r
She said she could not call me as someone had removed her note on the wall with our phone numbers.\r
At that point I believed nothing they said. \r
They had our numbers on the confirmation email and our sign in card.\r
They entered our paid for room and removed our belongings.\r
At that point I feel they assumed liability.\r
They did not excersize reasonable care to protect our items.\r
They have not siad what they did with them.\r
My stuff was shirts worn one time only.\r
I commonly take new clothes on trips.\r
It was in a neat plastic bag and folded nicely.\r
In no way would it have been considered junk or garbage. \r
Cooperate in Greenville simply says it is their policy to do nothing for personal items.\r
If you pay for an Accor (Motel 6) room,\r
they can enter and admit it,\r
but they will do nothing for items they removed and lost.\r
You can't even go across the street for dinner.\r
I am virtually positive it was one of their employees that took our stuff,\r
or left it somewhere it would be,\r
or is still somehow lost.\r
I had used them faithfully for 50 years since they came to California.\r
I no longer trust them, nor even like them.\r
They are protecting crooks.\r
Don't trust them.\r
Pros: I loved their clean modest low priced rooms.
Cons: They should replace items they removed and lost that were in our paid room.
