Review content:
I chose Mardex Photography long before my wedding, when other photographers were still available. Meeting with Mr. Mardex for the first time to discuss my ideas a week before the wedding, I was nervous that we weren't communicating clearly, but he assured me that he understood what I was looking for. On the day of the wedding, he managed to make both my father and my new husband angry and frustrated at the commands he was ""barking"" about moving their hands, tilting their faces, rearranging poses by pointing instead of showing us. Also, they decided to do a ""deconstructionist"" approach, and didn't spread my train out for even ONE picture. The photo album ended up looking good, but not perfect because it didn't include some of the crucial things we discussed during our meeting in advance. The most important part of my experience, however, was that Mr. Mardex was the least enjoyable part of my wedding. In my opinion he was demanding, uncooperative, and difficult to tolerate (and who wants to deal with that on her wedding day?). If you decide to go with him, talk to him more than a week in advance about what YOU want, and don't hesitate to speak up on your big day.
