The pool is definitely not closed like CitySearch says.
The Texas Pool in southern Plano is awesome. The pool is shaped like the great State of Texas. It has 2 slides - one for the little kids another for the bigger ones. A diving board and an area for water volleyball. The South Texas area is only 1 foot so perfect for the little ones to wade or sit in the water.
The lifeguards are great and get to know the families throughout the summer. All the members have been very warm and inviting. They even have movie nights a few times throughout the summer.
You have to join and be a member to swim at the pool but they will let you swim at the pool before you join. You can live anywhere in the area - it is not an HOA pool. Open membership.
