Review content:
If you have a transmission problem, go to Eagle in Rowlett, Texas. Frank and his crew are world class. Story? OK: I was coming into Dallas on Interstate 30 in my RV, built on a Ford Super Duty F-550. This is a 4x4 vehicle made for serious off-road excursions. It has Ford’s “Low haul Torque Shift 5-speed transmission. Coming across the bridge on Lake Hubbard I noticed my transmission temperature was pegged. When I got off the bridge I stopped and did a quick Internet search for nearby transmission shops. It never occurred to me to take it to a dealer. I’d been ripped by them too many times. On the map I saw Eagle Transmissions on Highway 66 and decided to check them out. I’m from out of state, and this truck is a new rig to me, so I was pretty much at their mercy and feeling very vulnerable. Good places are usually busy, and this place was, but they made time to take a look. Turns out that the temperature sensor had a problem and they fixed it in minutes. I had feared all kinds of possible things that could go wrong on a complicated rig like this one, but these guys are honest, courteous, and obviously proud of doing quality work for fair prices. I told them that I’m heading deep into Mexico so they checked out a few other things just in case. All told I was on my way in about an hour. Since I was just passing through, I cant become a repeat customer – so I guess they treat everyone this way. You cant beat that. Go there.
Pros: Fast, Smart, Honest, Fair, Quality Service
Cons: None in my experience
