I've been wanting to write a review for this outfit for awhile based on my observations of their work at the Olivas Adobe in Ventura. I noticed how they were chosen for their ""special set of skills"" for old adobes, but their workmenship on both the adobe and modern structures leave a lot to be desired. Not only did they wear out their welcome by being camped out at the property for many, many months beyond their deadline, but the quality is awful! Most days they were there, they only had a couple of guys doing some work, and it was clear they were milking their million $ contract for all it was worth and dragging their feet. They left upright nails everywhere where visitors and children could hurt themselves. \r
There has only been minimal rain since their ""improvements"", but each time there is a little rain, huge chunks of plaster and adobe falls off of the building! It was a very recent restoration, but you can see all the cracks in the plaster spreading out like tentacles and other sections bulging as pieces of wood are even ready to fall off. Even under one of the roofs they redid you can see how they missed lots of the 2x4's with their nails, which are not even attaching the plywood to the supports! Merely one week after installing accent lights in the rose gardens, the initially shiny fixtures had already tarnished into an ugly dull rusty look. The brand new bathroom doors have rust coming through, and their new sign on the door has fallen off. Come on! The work is only maybe a year old at the most, and soon it will look as if it hadn't been touched for a hundred years.
