Review content:
Get the word out - THE BEST deli ever is in Palm Springs. I live only 2 blocks from the famous Junior's Deli in L.A. - I would drive an hour and a half to go get ANY sandwich at Sherman's before I go to Junior's for the same. It's THAT good! Prices are not out of this world but the quality of every item we had at that table (there were three of us and we ate there twice) was excellent. Beef brisket sandwich-excellent, Reuben sandwich with pastrami-excellent, french toast and bacon (thick, tasty, slightly sweet, not overly oily slices), carrot cake to die for (not sickeningly sweet), cole slaw (yum! almost as good as Felipe's), lovely fried potatoes, breakfast potatoes and fries (crispy on the outside, not overly oily), vegetable omelette with bacon (huge and tasty). Generous portions! The service was super fast, super friendly and super honest. Parking was not a problem, though we could have walked there from several hotels in the area, and it's only a couple of blocks from the main drag. If you're in the Palm Springs area this place is NOT to be missed - breakfast is excellent, hardly any wait. Lunch gets a bit busy but still a reasonable and comfortable waiting time with complimentary coffee.
