Review content:
Eastern Market is one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning. First off, just browsing all of the shopping stands is a good time; you don't even have to buy anything. Second, if you like unique handmade jewelry and accessories, or have an appreciation for second-hand decor or local photography, then this is an excellent destination.
The indoor part of the market has a plethora of fresh veggies, pastries, meat, and fish to choose from that are exclusive to Eastern Market. For example, the seafood stand sells soft-shell crabs, octopus, and even blowfish. At the pastry stand, you can't go wrong with an apple turnover or carrot cake cupcake, all fresh and fantastic.
Pros: Great shopping, high-quality meats and seafood
Cons: Can get crowded, not much parking
