One of my last purchases, a splurge big gift worth $200 for my husband, was to be delivered with 1-day service through DHL. I wasn't really expecting to have it the next day or two, but definitely by the third day. On my scheduled day of deliver, it never came. I live on a quiet cul-du-sac and received my other packages through UPS and FedEx on this particular day. I never received my DHL package. When I didn't get it by the third day, the day after my scheduled delivery date, I decided to re-check my tracking through Amazon. It said it had already been delivered to my house on the scheduled date! DHL never came down my street, yet alone to my door. I called into their customer service line and was told that it was being marked as being delivered. I was told that I would have to wait while they tracked down my package. This meant that: the main call center would call the local distribution center, the local center would call the courier who delivers the packages and ask them where they left the package, they would then call me back and tell me where the package was left hidden at, and if I still couldn't find it, they would call the courier again and schedule a time for them to come back out and find their hidden package for me. \r \r Well obviously the package isn't hidden anywhere. It has either been delivered to the wrong house (to people who didn't turn it away or back in) or the courier kept it for him/her-self. I was rudely told that the local center would call me on Monday. Of course they're not (and didn't) call me back on Christmas Eve to tell me that they completely lost my package. \r \r Amazon has been GREAT about promptly sending me a replacement and refunding my S&H. I'm just praying that they didn't go through this horrible company again. Never again will I use DHL! Cons: They loose your package and have terrible customer service.
