As soon as I pulled up I realized I never knew this place existed! Its a very nice facility that is not big like all of the other ones. It is family owned and operated and it really does feel like home there. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and informative. The administrator Glenda was very friendly and also very helpful. The tour was great! I love the size of the rooms and the activites! Wow! I came in on a wed. and every wed they go out to a store and then a restaurant. I thought that was very nice! Every one seems to interact very well. I saw a lot of smiling faces and heard a lot of laughs both from staff and residents. The menu sounded so good for the day I almost requested to be able to stay there and have lunch! I was told about what they offer amenities wise and was very impressed. Basic Cable TV, 3 alert buttons for my dad for emergencies, private bathroom, private a/c and heat, 3 meals a day and snacks and more. The activites director was very smiley and very friendly. I only got to meet those 3 ladies, the girl at the front desk, the administrator and the activies girl and they were all so nice and friendly! Unfortunetly we made the decision to move out of state but if I would have been staying in florida I would have definetly put my dad at Alafia Village! The prices are very very reasonable for what all you get. If you are looking for an assisted living facility please go there first!
