Businiess name:  Mazza Middle Eastern Cuisine
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
There used to be dozens of reviews for Mazza on Citysearch, most of them 4- and 5- star reviews from satisfied customers over many years. Where did they all go?? Very strange that only a 2005 review and a 2008 review remain. Fishy. Perhaps a payoff to Citysearch personnel by a competing restaurant, tired of Mazza repeatedly winning local dining awards? Makes me very sad that a restaurant so widely praised as one of Salt Lake's best is so poorly represented here. I hope if it was just a glitch in the system that the old reviews can be restored. Anyway, I am one of those longtime and very satisfied customers. In my many visits to both Mazza locations the service has always been friendly and very good (though I prefer the cozier original location), the food uniformly delicious (shawarma! baba ganooj! the list goes on!), and the prices very reasonable. The only time I've been known to head to another restaurant when given the option of going to Mazza is if I'm pressed for time -- the price you pay for freshly prepared food is a bit more prep time. But most days it's well worth the wait. This food's as good as any I ate while living in the Middle East, and the air conditioning's far better....if I ever have to leave Salt Lake I'll shed more than a few tears over losing Mazza. Pros: Extensive menu, delicious and fresh Middle Eastern flavors Cons: Fresh, quality food takes time to prepare...
