Review content:
May 9, 2009 was our 3rd time at Splash. Obviously, we have good memories of the place or we wouldn't keep going back. But it's quality is very uneven, very unpredictable. Superb dinner rolls yet truly tasteless and bad Caesar Salad. I sent it back without finishing it. Tasting Caesar Salads all over the world is one of my hobbies. I can't remember a worse one than this. The Chilean Sea Bass in miso broth, on the other hand, was absolutely superb. A beautifully crafted broth that is perfectly matched to the mild, delicate taste of this fish. My wife had Cioppino that doesn't even deserve the name. I doubt that the chef has ever even had Cioppino before because he/she doesn't have a clue what it should taste or look like. Give Splash a try, but consider it as a trip to the casino. You may get lucky or you may strikeout. Oyster Catcher's is a much safer, if much more expensive, bet. Bonefish Grill is similarly priced but has much more consistent quality.
Pros: Nice waist staff, some dishes are truly excellent
Cons: Some dishes are truly BAD, located in never-never land
