Review content:
4 year old (Sedgwick installed) furnace was acting up so I called them to come fix the problem. $89 just to come to the house, which is expected. Furnace is still under warranty. Technician tells me the ""Board"" is bad and has extra one in the van. Tech tells me that the computer chip boards are known to be bad on the model of furnace and carries a lot of them in the van just for this reason. Sedgwick installed this furnace so he's technically admitting they are installing inferior furnaces with junk parts... nice! Tech puts in a ""new"" Board and spends a total of about twenty minutes in my house. Charges me $289 (Labor) just to replace the board. The Part itself was under warranty but they still have a flat fee of $289 for the service (task to put the board in place). When all said and done, the furnace works fine now, but I'm out $422 for 30 minutes of work. I talked with customer service and she told me they have a rate-sheet they go off of for all tasks done and it is a flat fee for each task done. No budging on pro-rating it for me to cut down the cost. I asked. $289 is extensive for 10 minutes to switch out a computer chip board in the furnace done in less than 10 minutes. Maybe $50 to do this but $289? I've been taken! and I'm letting you know, ask questions and what the prices are and how they operate before calling a technician to come. Don't use Sedgwick, as they won't flex on their pricing system no matter how much you ask. Therefore I am giving them a POOR rating. They were fast to come to the house, but who wouldn't for $422 for thirty minutes of easy labor? So long story short, call around and get some quotes before settling on the company that installed your furnace. Don't go with Sedgwick like I did. They lost me as a future customer because I feel their pricing is not realistic and expensive. I'll spend my hard earned money elsewhere.
