Abbey Church Village used to be a great place to live but not anymore! \r I have lived here for about 13 years- single parent. I work several jobs and could never qualify for any assistance. Rent increase just got many of us here-now over $650.00month for a two bedroom. We have to pay heat and electric also $150.00 approx. Dont know why they need ALL of our financial information because supposedly it is not subsidized. \r Walls are thin. Maintenance is shoddy. My carpet has never been replaced after 13 years and it was a fight to get the place painted. Office letters come out constantly asking parents to keep their children out of the streets and to keep areas looking nice. The spelling in the letters is horrific- supposedly a professional place. Skunk traps are placed around the property because of the skunk/animal problem. Cars are constantly being damaged by children riding bikes through the parking lots. Just a bad place to be anymore unless you are subsidized somehow. I think that is the way they are moving here anymore. Pros: close to shopping...and gangs Cons: close to shopping and gangs
