Dougherty;s has been in Syracuse for decades, and has grown to be an amazing resource for the theatre and performance communities. Their staff are professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their selection is the best in New York, and if they don't have what you are looking for, they'll custom order it for you. (Though, during the busy Halloween season, this may be impossible--they will the rest of the year!) During Halloween, the store is transformed into a Halloween Mecca... There's just nothing else like it in CNY. I've been going to Dougherty's for years for Halloween, Christmas, Mardi Gras-- even for the Renn Fair. I've rented moonwalks and sumo wrestling for birthday parties from them, too-- just a great business with a great level of service.
