We were looking for a full size bed mattress with box spring for my daughter. Robert Quarnstrom welcomed us. Based on what told him (the reason of our visit listed above) he showed us a few mattresses, which was what we were looking for. They after saying that he was not a salesman but more like a friend, his speech became the same as if we were shopping for a car... ""What can I do to make you buy it today"", ""I'm sure I have a 20% discount coupon for you in the back"", ""one phone call and I waive the delivery fees if you buy it today"", etc. We had told him that we were just looking and would go to other stores. We left with the intention to come back within 48 hours. I came back 2 days later and he did not even recognize me... Every time the store was empty and he said ""I see a lot of people all day"" once he remembered me. I said I was interested in one of them and he said that he would start the paperwork. I told him that I wanted to negociate the price. Once I had told him my budget (which was his price minus $100) he told me that he could not do that and let me leave without trying to negociate. The very next day I was at another store and bought the same bed for half the price with 2 free pillows. \r
I would not recommend Amerian Mattress by Target and advise you to look online and shop around. Take your time, ask a lot of questions and compare the stores, the prices, the sales reps and go with your gusts... A mattress will last you longer than a car, make the right choice !
