Terrible experience. I needed a dress taken in for my engagement photo shoot in 3 days. Explained the deadline pressure. The lady at Just Right Alterations said it wouldn't be a problem and proceeded to measure me in the dress and pin me up. TWO DAYS LATER they called me and told me the cost of the dress alteration would no longer be $35 but $55 because it was more work than they originally expected when I brought the dress in (the lining also had to be altered). Can you believe it? They held my dress for two days before telling me it would cost more money. I had to either fork over extra money or not have my dress in time. That made me so mad. I decided to forget the dress altogether and go with something else for my photo session. I would never step foot into that place again. They used to be located across from McDonald's on Main Street Reading but now I see they've moved down the road closer to Stoneham. Bad business practice! The right thing to do would have been to take a loss on the labor and stick to the original price quote, especially when time was a critical factor!
