Review content:
I hired Hansen Bros. in the Seattle area to move my belongings to Michigan in July, 2010. They were great and I had no problem with them. Unforturnately, the driver's truck got stuck halfway thru the drive to MI and could not be repaired. My belongings were loaded on a rescue truck and moved to the warehouse at Morse Moving in Romulus. Beverly McClurg weighted the truck and gave me a ""binding"" amount on moving my load from the warehouse to my MI residence, I was then overcharged by 50%, due to a fake weight ticket emailed to me by Beverly. Not the weight of the truck! The weight included my automobile, which was not at Morse's warehouse, nor moved by them. I was refunded the disputed amount after emailing the weight ticket and written amount to mulitple employees at Morse. I then hired Morse to for a local move from Livonia to Farmington Hills in MI. The 3 employees who arrived to pack, load, transport and unload were all teenagers and very rude. They proceeded to flip my recently purchased mattress over a balcony railing, resulting in a sizable rip on the bottom and dirty handprints. I emailed Morse a picture of the damage and copy of the bill of sale on 10/10/2011. Stacey Finley emailed me a damage claim form and asked me to submit it to her. The claim was refused based on a 10 day time limit. I was never informed of the time limit, although Morse had ample opportunity to do so. Why ask me to submit a claim that will never be evaluated? Also. the day of the move, I walked into my spare bedroom and found my safe open with the door removed. I took a picture of it and had the door put back on. I later thought back on this and remembered that I put some expensive jewelry in the safe the night before the move. I probably forgot to spin the dial after closing the safe and throwing the lever, allowing the Morse movers access to my safe. I emailed the picture to Morse with no response. Now that I am aware of Morse employees' dishonesty, I will inspect my safe contents more completely. The jewelry is appraised and insured, so anything missing will be covered by insurance. Thank goodness I took that picture (date/time stamp on the day of the move, while the movers were in my residence). If I find anything missing, I will file a report with the Livonia Police and prosecute. Upon seeing the safe open like that, I regret that I did not call the police immediately and have the Morse employees removed from my residence on the spot. There are many, many movers in the tri-county area of Michigan. Don't hire Morse.
