Review content:
I've tried Houston Garden Center many times and the results seem to always be the same. Their plants are not guaranteed and once you leave the lot your on your own. Good luck geeting someone to help you. They're nothing more than a self-service garden retail. I've found that the survival rate of their plants is about 70%. Their prices are competitive, but not if you calculate that 30% will die. I even spoke with the manager to get a fair price on plants if I purchased 1000 asian ground cover plants...yes, that's right, 1000. She said that no discounts are given for quantity. I've been a retail manager for over 23 years and passing up a deal like this surprizes me. We're taking about a $2,500 single purchase here! If you just want a couple of plants for a flower bed and you already know what you want, then you'll be fine. If you need more then it would be wiser to look elsewhere.
Pros: Decent variety.
Cons: No service, No guarantee.
