Review content:
the decor is lovely and the food quite nice, but for those of you ""of color,"" rethink this establishment. i (japanese) brought a friend (chinese) for a birthday breakfast one weekday morning. there was a Caucasian group ahead of us that was seated. the hostess or owner saw us standing behind (we both made eye contact with her) them when she passed us to take them to their seats. when she came back to seat the next party (us, i imagined) another Caucasian group of ladies walked in. she looked passed us to seat them next. this act was so blatant that my and my friend's mouth dropped open in disbelief. there happened to be 2 Latino waiters that happened to have been standing at the register with her. they looked a little startled and the 4 of looked at each other for a few seconds. then one of the waiters said, ""i think they were here first."" the woman looked indignant, said, ""oh."" and took us to be seated. there was no apology or excuse. the only word she spoke to us was, ""oh."" Pros: great if you're Caucasian and wealthy Cons: bigotry
