This year like in years past we get 10lb of cranberries for the winter months to freeze. We like buying local so we called the Berry Bunch like we have in the past. We were told they would be ready on the day we drove down to pick up. We got there and they had an equipment failure. OK, I understand that. We asked if they were going to have someone at the Fulton St Farmer's market the coming Saturday like the sometimes do. Liz said yes so I went down there (another 1/2 hr drive for us) and no one showed up. We called and I guess the owners daughter didn't want to go since it was supposed to rain but did not tell Liz. My wife called Liz to express our frustration and the owner called and told us he would deliver our 10 lb when he gets up near Sparta. That was almost a month ago and we already purchased our cranberries online from WI online. We had our good cranberries within 5 days. I sense the owner diod a poor job communicating with Liz who was friendly and professional throughout our encounters despite our frustration. 40 minute drive initially then a 30 minute drive to meet someone who didn't show up.
Sad, because we'd rather buy local but we won't be back.
