I almost did not go after reading the comment about the chef yelling, but decided to take a chance. First, like the review earlier, the tasting menu is confusing. It looks like the tasting menu are the items listed on a page by itself, but the server said choose any three items from anywhere on the menu. I asked it that meant I could order three entrees. No he said. The dover sole on the middle page? No he said. That was a special. The kobe beef on the first page. Yes, but that would be $55 extra. I ordered three things and then he asked me what I wanted for dessert. Seems like that would be four items. He should have just said order a starter, first course, second course, entree, and dessert. \r \r The food was excellent. Not quite as good as Providence, but very good. The service was excellent, very attentive, but more efficient than warm and friendly. Again, I give higher marks to Providence for service. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Many guests wearing a suit and tie. The tables are arranged well so that you do not feel cramped together. Dessert was amazing. Several separate items, all tasty. \r \r Then the bill came. Ouch. $288 before tip for two people, one glass of wine, one cup of coffee, one extra order of scallops. Glad I didn't order the kobe beef. I suppose if you decide to eat here, you don't worry about the price. Pros: One of the best westside restaurants Cons: One of the most expensive westside restaurants
