My family and I went to Melisse just before leaving town on a trip to France and we still agree Melisse is the best French restaurant we have ever experienced! The interiors are rather plain, but the food and service make up for it. We all ordered (which the entire table has to agree to) the prix fixe menu of 9 courses. Each course got better as the flavors and composition became more complex. We arrived at 8pm and did not leave until 12am. We did not even realize how much time had passed, which I guess was alright with the staff because not once did they bring the time to our attention, they simply allowed us to enjoy our wonderful meal.
