The Pleasant Valley Cooperative Pre-school in Pleasant Valley, NY is one of the BEST Pre-schools in the area. As a mom and former special education teacher I am VERY impressed with the teachers, curriculum, materials and the cooperative model. Don't fear the coop experience. Parents at this coop do not have to take a job. It is optional. & there is not hefty penalty if you decide a job is not for you. However, if you do take a job you will receive a discount. Either way, with or without the discount the tuition remains the lowest in the community and very affordable for parents. The parents hire teachers, help make educational and financial decisions for the school based on a voting system which obviously works well since the school has been around since the early 1970's. The teachers are over qualified and more than prepare the children for the kg. experience, as they follow district guidelines. I am very impressed with this school and recommend it to ALL parents. I have 3 boys who have enjoyed the coop and continue to do so. \r \r Jeanine Campbell
