Review content:
My fiancee and I went to 9 Maple to listen to a friend play jazz guitar on a Friday evening in January 2008. Not only was the music wonderful, but the drinks, service, and ambiance were all well above expectations. The bar is small and cozy, with a dark, jazzy feel to it. The bartenders are friendly, courteous, and definitely know how to make a good dirty vodka martini. I have never seen someone put so much care into making a martini as the bartended that was on the night that I went, and the taste was like none I have ever had. Not only were the bartenders great at mixing drinks, but there was a fella who stood at the door, opening and closing it as customers came and went. The place was also kept very clean; any used bar napkin that found its way to a table or ledge was quickly removed by the staff and the area was wiped clean. In addition to the great service and drinks, food was offered for free. The place was even accommodating of smokers, as outside of the building there was a little ally-way with places to sit and multiple ashtrays. \r

Given the great first experience my fiancee and I had, I can say for sure that we will return in the near future for great drinks, terrific service, and wonderful jazz.\r
Pros: Martini's, service, music
