I went to Urgent Care at NE Meidcal Center after falling off of a ladder. I was in great pain due to the fall. They took x-rays of my ankle/foot and after nearly 2 hours there, they came back and said nothing seems to be broken. They said it was a bad sprain and gave me an air cast and told me to elevate it and stay off of it as much as possible, ice, etc. They also said that the radiologist would check in tomorrow and get back to me if there was anything else I should be concerned about. Well I never heard from them and by my own accord I made an appointment to see an ortho dr. because it was still very sore. To my surprise, I was told I had a broken bone and it had to be casted for 6 weeks. I was walking (on crutches) around on this ankle for 6 days before I got this news. The ortho doc showed me the x-ray that was taken at Urgent Care and I could clearly see the broken bone. How is it that a medical professional could have missed it?? Pros: friendly front desk staff Cons: incompetent radiologist
