went here before a play (too bad the play couldn't have been as good as our meal here.) started with the samosas with feta and walnuts. they were good, but show me fried dough with chees and nuts that isn't. mercer salad for the second course was okay, as well. tasted two entrees: the garlic chick and the braised lamb shank. go with the lamb. slow cooked until it falls from the bone, you can really taste the flavour of the meat. the faintest essence of cinnamon is left in your mouth after you swallow, too. served with grilled polenta, this is the dish. the garlic chicken is good - don't get me wrong. great flavor and a hearty plate with fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. but the lamb is something i would go back for. the only disappointment was the bread pudding, which had the taste and consistency of oatmeal with cran-raisins in it. ick. to their credit, they removed it from the bill when they saw it went untouched. all around a good choice for a neighborhood bistro. hurray! Pros: food Cons: parking
