I visited Ten Mercer for the first time last Thursday. A friend and I sat down at a table in the bar and 10 minutes later no one had stopped by to get us drinks. Finally a really nice girl dropped of some water and we asked her if we could order a drink. She passed on our order to the server. In the meantime a few other friends showed. The server finally came by, dropped the two drinks off, and walked away without asking if she could get the other guests a drink. After about another 10 minutes we finally went up to the bar to order drinks for the remainder of the party. The server kept walking by us and ignoring our ""excuse me's."" Finally they called us to our table. We walked up there and waited another 10 minutes for anyone to stop by and take our drink order. We ordered a few appetizers, which were so-so. When we were all finished I walked out to get my car (at 7:30pm) and the attendant was not standing at the podium. I waited about 5 minutes and walked back inside to ask the hostess if maybe the attendant waited inside since it was so cold and the parking lot was full. She said he probably went home for the night and my keys were at the bar. So off to the bar I went and waited another 10 minutes for a bartender to tell me he had no idea what I was talking about. Overall, the restaurant seems poorly run. The servers and bartenders are rude and uninformed and the food is unimpressive.
