Review content:
My husband and I discovered this small restaraunt about 5 years ago by word of mouth from a mutual friend. Ever since trying this restaraunt we have been hooked by the friendly family who owns and runs La Morena and the superb food. The restaruant itself is small but very charming and the service is unbeatable. Manuel can serve up the best plate of ""authentic"" mexican food in short order. The small combination platter is to die for if you are hungry. If you love enchiladas, the rich brown sauce is a welcome change to your standard red sauce. The tamales are fabulous and the chile verde smothered burritos are also excellent. The rice is full of flavor, fluffy and light. If you haven't tried La Morena you better...what are you waiting for? Be sure and introduce yourself to the owners, Manual, Maria and their daughter, Samantha.
Pros: Inexpensive, Family friendly, Good eats
Cons: Open M-F only
