Review content:
Whenever I eat Mexican food, especially chicken or cheese enchiladas, I compare them to the consistently delicious food at ""La Morena Cafe."" In my opinion, the other places may look fancy, but this family owned and run cafe beats the others by miles and miles.
It's easy to find, on the north side of North Temple. There are photos of friends and family, and old signs tacked to the wall, and I love it! When we have the money to go out for a nice lunch or dinner, this is where I want to go.
The portions are large (I usually eat half of the meal, then the rest the next day). As I said, the enchiladas are divine, the beans perfectly cooked, the tortillas tender, and the SAUCE--I don't know how they do it--makes my mouth water whenever I think about it!
Every time I go to ""La Morena,"" I think I will try something else, but I just can't do it. My family loves the other dishes, I think they have tried them all!
My family and I have followed ""La Morena Cafe"" from two previous locations (15+ years ago). And as long as they stay in northern Utah, I will be visiting...trying to decide between chicken or cheese enchiladas.
