Someone says to you- Ever wanted to try Roller Derby? Ever feel like you are missing something? Like you don't want to look back and wish you would have tried? That was why I made my decision to join OneWorld. I wish I would have done it a very long time ago! \r \r Here is how I started...I was wearing a tshirt that said ""Roller Derby"" and someone said ""Oh, do you play?"" and I said ""No."" This random stranger then says to me ""Why not?"" That stuck with me and 3 months later, after acquiring all my gear, I was ready to find a derby home.\r \r From the minute I arrived, I felt welcome and part of something special. The greeters made me feel super welcome and safe. Everyone there was patient and helpful, offering plenty of encouragement and advice. Not only do they teach new skaters how to skate, current skaters how to thrive but also advanced skaters how to become AllStars. When was the last time you could call yourself an AllStar in a sport? Everytime I skate, I get better, mentally and physically. It feels like a second home to me.\r \r I haven't skated since junior high and I am rapidly approaching the end of my 30's. I feel like a kid again when I skate. I cannot express enough how awesome OneWorld is. Thank you for bringing something into my life that is SO WONDERFUL!\r
