I finally made it back to casalinga for the lunch buffet after a couple years in culinary school and it's better then ever! The food was fantastic! Mussels marinara, spaghetti carbonarra, penne ala vodka, eggplant parm, chicken casalinga, pizza, Stromboli, salad bar you name it... They got it!!!! And the best thing ever... My girlfriend went to the bathroom and I didn't have to watch the owner obviously check her out and make crude gestures!!!!!( aka last experience with ""don"" Carlo. Which I found through my new culinary connections that he never attended culinary school and the menu is from Josephines family recipes. Thank god the real owner is back and the same chefs Eric and Victor are still rocking out like the past 8 years!!!! Still the best Italian food in Raleigh!!!!!!!!
