Review content:
As far as the restaurant, the food is good, the service is just OK, the atmosphere is smokey... a typical Balkans eatery/cafe. You will be happy with anything you order here.
The Deli is a different story altogether. I used to go there often but then I moved away for several years. Now that I am back, I have been there twice. Both times, they were out of cevapcici in the fridge. They used to sell me some from the restaurant that I could cook at home, but twice now they've refused. OK. So I this time I ordered cooked cevapcici to-go. I thought I'd buy a bottle of Macedonian wine I saw on the Deli side. Denied. I was told the wine was ""for the restaurant."" OK. I decided maybe a cold bottle of Jupi orange soda would do the trick since I couldn't get the wine. Denied AGAIN. ""It's for the restaurant.""
I have a great idea, Zupa, if all these things are ""for the restaurant,"" KEEP THEM in the darn restaurant!!!! Don't keep them in the fridge in the so-called Deli shop and refuse to sell them!! If your deli is required for restaurant storage, then close the darned thing and make it part of a restaurant supply pantry... 'cause you can't be selling much anyway if you're saving everything ""for the restaurant""
To the readers, unless this place is conveniently located to you and you strictly want to eat at the restaurant, don't bother going all the way out to Lyons. You can get the same or better quality and better service at any number of places closer to the city. I've made 2 special trips from the city to Lyons based on past experiences there, but to have a store and deny a sale because it's ""for the restaurant"" makes no sense and, in my opinion, is poor customer service.
Pros: Good food in the restaurant
Cons: Store won't sell you things they have in stock?!?
