Review content:
I purchased a Marygrove awning a few years back. I had to have my motorized awning serviced after it was installed. I had had some friends over for dinner right after I got it and showed them my awning and as the awning was opening up one of the supporting brackets/arms came completely loose, causing the awning to drop significantly on one side with no support. During the repair call, the motor overheated from the repeated opening/closing cycling during testing causing the service man to wait about 30 mins for it to work again. Then during testing it overheated again, and again. We finally got it all straightened out and it worked fine. I sent Mr. Falahee a personal note explaining what had happened. I never heard from him. \r

I purchased my awning with the optional 4 ft screen that unfolds at the awning edge, a nice feature for glaring late afternoon sun. This spring, the four velcro straps that hold it in place when rolled up started to wear out. The velcro is worn out and no longer has the holding power so on some days I'll come ome from work to find the screen unrolled in the down position. I placed a call to Marygrove, left a message on their ""service"" line inquiring about options to fix it and whether or not it's covered by a warranty. Days have passed and no one has bothered to return my call. For the money I spent on my awning, a return phone call would be nice.\r

I think the concept of a motorized retractable awning is great. If I had it to do over again I'd purchase it again, but not from Marygrove Awning.
