Review content:
Edgefield deserves a perfect rating. Every time I have gone there, the experience has always been wonderful. Take time to enjoy the grounds with the artwork, music, gardens, golf course and variety of brewing and cooking to observe. Buy a drink on a pleasant day, be sure to order a plastic glass and take a walk. Savor the experience. For a casual but elegant dinner try the Black Rabbit Restaurant. For pub style there are multiple locations to eat around the facility. I must say the service there in their pubs is consistent with the rest of McMenamins… a bit slow… but that would be my only compliant. If you have enough time, consider staying the night. The rooms all have their own character and even though in most of them the bathroom is down the hall, they do have private stalls complete with door locks, showers, sinks and toilets. It is all truly part of the unique experience.
