Review content:
Because of the customer service experience, I cannot in good conscience ever recommend an Acura product from Columbia Acura. In one experience, my wife and I were informed that we would not be allowed to have loaners any longer while our MDX was being serviced because the last loaner we had had to be detailed--a service costing $125. When I replied that we did not know about the detailing and that we would have gladly paid for it (apparently, one of our kids spilled something in the back seat), the service person replied that we would still not be allowed to have a loaner in the future. I then informed him that our current MDX was our second Acura product and that these products cost 40+K to own. I asked him whether he thought a fair trade to alienate us as loyal customers by denying us loaners and risk our taking our business elsewhere. The service person replied that he did not care what we did and that where we spent our money was our personal choice. Now bordering on irate I informed him that his service was horrendous and that Acura had no business positioning itself as a higher end car company if its service could not match up. I also informed him that because of him and his dealership's poor service my wife and I would no longer even be looking at Acura products as a possibility for purchase or lease. Thankfully, we are now the proud owners of a BMW X5 and have a service department that moves heaven and earth and help us when we need it. Good riddance Acura! Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks?
