I have lived in Glendale my entire life and never heard of this little cafe in the Days Inn at Pacific and the 134 freeway. I recently had surgery and upon my release from the hospital I came here for two weeks of rehab therapy. My wife and I ordered room service from this cafe everyday. Everything we ordered was delicious. One night they had ""Shrimp Primavera"" as the dinner special. This is one of my favorite dishes. I have had it at the Wyndham hotel in Frisco, the 4 Seasons hotel in Chicago, and several other very fine restaurants throughout the world. The dish here at the Pioneer Cafe was the BEST I have ever had and it was less than $10! When we checked out of the Days Inn, we went into the cafe to check out the kitchen and compliment the staff. The kitchen was spotless - you could literally eat off the floor! They were grinding their beef as they do everyday and washing fruits and vegetables. Everything looked delicious and fresh. Try this little cafe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you will not be disappointed. Great food, great prices, and excellent service. We will be back often. Pros: Delicious food at very reasonable prices Cons: Nothing
