Review content:
This is a great neighborhood restaurant! It's been around since 1989 (it used to be THE place to go), but the owner a few years ago let it go. Fortunately about two years ago it got a new owner who has put a lot into it. The interior is much nicer than you'd think from the outside - it's got a nice little bar and a big fireplace in the main dining room.\r
The food is really good - great steaks and what I think are the best crab cakes anywhere - full of lump crab meat and not overly-seasoned. They also have a few pasta dishes, chicken, duck, pork, veal and some REALLY good chocolate desserts. The Chocolate Sin and the Chocolate Truffle Torte are my favorites - for serious chocolate lovers only! The wine list is really reasonable, too.
Pros: Atmosphere, has a private room for parties, great (affordable) wine list
Cons: Parking lot is sometimes full - you can park in another lot a block away
