My mothers home was burned in January 2011. Their insurance company contracted with Restore Masters to completely remodel and restore the upstairs. That's where the nightmare began.
The contractor they were sent was Mark. He argued with my parents over things they wanted done to THEIR home. He did them incorrectly, causing them to have several things (i.e. the flooring, cabinets, wiring, etc.) redone. This project which was probably close to only 1500 sq. feet took them clear though OCTOBER of 2011 to complete (although they still haven't finished everything, but were able to move back into their home).
My mother is not an assertive person and it appeared to me that they took every advantage possible of this. The contractor was unreliable, showed up when he wanted and did a shoddy job of the work. If I could give them a negative score - believe me, I would!!
I shed tears over the frustration my parents went though, they were living in a small apartment and hotel room in the meantime.
The items they received back - which were to have their smoke removed was even late. It took them weeks after moving back into their home to receive it.
DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE unless you want your project to drag out and have a lot of headaches over it!
