We will NEVER return. Our visit came on our 14th Anniversary. We wanted to try the Aspen as we had heard someone mention it and had seen it from the road before. Also, we had an Entertainment coupon, so we figured it would be a good deal. Boy - were we wrong. We arrived - only to find out that there was a Wine Tasting event going on - and it was COMPLETELY overbooked. A manager mentioned they were expecting 120 people and had over 200. Weren't they working with the charity on this? Anyway, we were seated right by the entrance to the wine event. People were streaming out into the dining area. I was bumped at least 7 times and finally demanded we be moved. We ordered an appetizer. The spinach dip had an actual WHOLE CLOVE OF GARLIC IN IT. It was under the surface of the dip. The dip was V0MIT inducing. I ordered the lamb, my wife wanted the prime rib. Of course, they were out. So she ordered the grilled tilapia. I ordered the lamb medium well. It was RAW. Rare doesn't come close to describing it. The tilapia was rubbery, and was obviously not grilled. Nothing had any seasoning. The redskin potatoes seemed to have just been boiled. That's it. I could cook better at my home. Now they were doing a raffle a the wine tasting. Someone kept coming over to our table and SCREAMING numbers to others in the dining room. Who is running this place??? A complete MESS. We complained - the manager looked at the tilapia when we said it wasn't grilled and said ""Have you ever EATEN tilapia before?"" Gee - only about 140 times! It NEVER looked like this. It was bland, rubbery and disgusting. I asked - if it's grilled - show me a grill mark! Of course she changed her tune, gave us $10 off the bill, which still was over $60 and that was after having it be buy one get one entree free!!! I brought the lamb home, minus one disgusting bite, and had to cook it for 35 minutes in order to get it done medium well. That should tell you all you need to know Pros: The waitress had empathy - understood the place was a disaster that night Cons: Food was just plain bad. Absurdly priced for the value. Left FURIOUS.
