Review content:
My flight was late coming in from Boston for my son's graduation from Naval Training, so we lost our reservation at another hotel, across the street. Because of the time of night, we grabbed the first thing available hoping it wouldn't be too bad. As they say hope is eternal, this place was well below standards. I have to say my suspicions were alerted when I saw the ""No Refund"" sign in the lobby, but again due to being tired I let it slide. I did question the desk clerk about the refund he said it only applied after youv'e stayed in the room. The clerk, whom I might add throughout the entire stay made it seem as if he was doing us a favor by charging my credit card for three nights immediately, hence the no refund trick. The room consisted of a filthy ice bucket, with no ice machine to be found. I guess we could have made our own ice in the overfrosted freezer. When we asked for additional towels first the clerk told me someone would be right up with them as soon as housekeeping was in, by the time I made it back to the hotel after picking my son up from the base my daughters both were told two different stories. Story two, all the towels were wet, story three the towels are all in the dryer, end of story never received additional towles, Thank God for check out. Full size beds, toddler size pillows, sheets changed NO.\r
Let's not begin to discuss the exterior upkeep, filthy, trashed sprawled all through out the hedges. If I had my choice would I stay there again, NO. Would I recommend this hotel, not even to people I didn't like. This hotel would more suit the needs of the clienetelle that required one hour services, and even they would frown upon it's amenities.\r
STAY CLEAR!!!
Pros: Close to the Naval Base, and Gurnee Mills
Cons: Everything after you step through the doors, and oh yeah and card has been precharged!!
