Review content:
We went to meet a friend who has been here before for a couple of drinks on ladies night, and to check out a new place around the area my friend was moving near. We came in ordered a beer and a drink. We were talking to the bartender Andy who was great! I wanted to open a tab which Andy told me there was a $25minimum, but if I didn’t reach it I could just use the ATM and pay cash. The atmosphere seemed fun and talked about how is would be a fun corner place to hang out after work. \r
A little while later Andy was off his shift and had a drink with us before leaving for the night. A new bartender was behind the bar. She was upset that someone took the remote for the jukebox and was skipping through other peoples songs that they paid for so they could hear their own. \r
My friends and I commented on how we also put money into the jukebox and they to were skipped. We then told the bartender that it wasn’t fair that others have put money into the jukebox she shrugged it off went around looking for the remote. She then asked my friend if she had it. My friend told her she did not have it, and why would she skip through her own songs she paid for!? The bartender then stated, “how would I know what songs you played?” My friend also told the bartender that a group on the other side of the bar has it which she paid no mind asking them because they were regulars and she knew them. \r
About an hour had past and I ask the bartender to please close out my tab. She told me that I can close out my tab when she gets her remote back! I was very upset that she was accusing me and refusing to close me out until she got a remote back which in the first place is her responsibility to keep track of. Don’t accuse others for your mistakes on the job! I demanded her to close my tab out. I was furious that she would accuse me who has never been in there before of taking it. We weren’t even paying attention to the music being played cause her friends that were up dancing skipped everyone else’s music so they could enjoy their own! \r
The manager finally came around and said that we need to return the remote in first. I then yelled and said I don’t have your remote! How would I even know you have one!? She then said they have never had an issue with the jukebox before until we came in because they don’t know us! Well at that time, one of their regulars fessed to having it! After being accused of stealing and realized it wasn’t us, the bartender asked me if my tab was now closed and that she has to stand by her bartender and was told to leave! \r
I have bartended for many years and would never handle a customer in such manor! \r
First off you would like to have people feel comfortable and enjoy their experience to want to come back! \r
Secondly if I were a manager, I certainly after realizing we were accusing the wrong people of stealing, being thieves and making their first experience a bad one, would have deeply apologized for my self and my bartender, offer to pay the tab (which by the way was over charged. My bill was $27 for 2 beers and 2 drinks which were half priced. They made sure it rang up to over their $25 limit.) and would hope to see them again under better circumstances. \r
Poor taste and would never ever go back or recommend anyone else to!!\r
