When my Husband and I joined, we were told that memberships can be suspended due to medical reasons with a Physician's statement. I am now pregnant for the third time (the first two did not go to term.) Since this is a high risk pregnancy, my Physician faxed a script stating no gym exercise for 8 months. The owner decided that 8 months was too long to suspend my membership and they suggested that I cancel?! By suspending my membership, they are not losing out on money but only retaining a customer. It saddens me that a fitness center that promotes health has no regard for the health and well-being of a customer with a high risk pregnancy. Needless to say, my Husband and I will both be cancelling.
