Macaw Landing is a treasure most people don't even know exsists in N. Portland! \r
\r
This place so awesome for the whole family. Learn about wildlife and the rainforest. See 80 Free flight Macaw parrots fly over your head, they get to live freely in a flight as big as a house! They have the cutest farm animals, the donkey was a hoot. The greeter of visitors is a great horse that they rescued from slaughter and he is just like a big dog! The nature walk through the wetlands was so nice, not hard walk for little kids, there was much to see along the path. They had wheelchair access which was nice since we had a senior in a scooter with us. Jack the curator does such a nice presentation and we learned so much. It was great we have been back a couple times. \r
\r
They do tours daily you just have to call and it is only for a small donation. Don't miss out on this Portland treasure!
Pros: Fun for the whole family! Educating
Cons: It gets a little muddy in the winter but they have paths to follow.
